Omaha Mural

Rainbow Community Gardens

I was commissioned to create this mural for the Rainbow Community Gardens. This project was made possible by Rev. Joy Simpson, Stacy Sandberg, and funding from Mayor Jean Stothert’s Neighborhood Grant program.

Years ago, the neighborhood near 22nd and Leavenworth was plagued by danger and drugs. Today, thanks to the efforts of the Metropolitan Community Church and its neighbors, this once-vacant lot has been transformed into a beautiful community garden.

I created this short video to showcase the process, from start to finish, of making the mural that now adorns the front shed near the entrance of the Garden.
