This project was one of the first chalk murals I have ever done. It was a little ambitious but, with my wife’s help, we completed the project in 2 days. We learned a lot. We never work on such a large surface before. We found using a minimal color pallet for such a large area was not a great idea. We ended up needing several boxes of chalk, using just for the golds, blacks, & whites, just so that we could complete the drawing. We also learned that blending chalk on concrete with your fingers is a Bad Idea. Our fingers were blistered and stained that lasted a couple of weeks.
