Russell grew up in Littleton, Colorado. As a child, a lot of his free time was spent with a pencil or brush in hand. He enjoyed creating and spending his time in art classes. Russell found encouragement from family and friends and enjoyed learning different skills throughout high school. As he grew as an artist, Russell found himself drawn to the creative field of graphic design. In 1997, Russell graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. He worked many jobs from hobby stores to a digital prepress operator. All the while learning more and more about art. Russell has participated in several art festivals and worked on several public works of art. He is now a web designer for a marketing company in Omaha but occasionally still find time to do some painting or murals.
